Austin Gives Miles Charity Chaser Program
2019 is the 5th Anniversary of the Charity Chaser Program. For the past 4 years, we’ve had a celebrity runner start last and run the marathon to raise money for one of the 26 Austin Gives Miles Charities! The Charity Chaser program not only raises thousands of dollars, but it helps raise awareness for the program and provide a special touch to the Austin Gives Miles Program. Past Charity Chasers include CBS Austin Chief Meteorologist Chikage Windler and Sports Director for Spectrum News Ricky Doyle.
The Austin Gives Miles goal for 2019 is to raise over 1 million dollars for Local Central Texas charities. The charity chaser will start the Austin Marathon after everyone has crossed the start line.
